Your Experienced Dog Trainer
With over 30 years of hands-on experience in dog training, I am passionate about helping dogs and their owners build strong, positive relationships. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with a wide variety of dogs, including 18 years with the New Zealand Police Dog Section, 22 years in Land Search and Rescue Dogs and 4 years in the Aviation Security Explosive Detector Dog Unit.
Now, I am focused on sharing my extensive knowledge to help domestic pet dogs become well-behaved, confident and enjoyable members of your family. My goal is to guide you and your dog through a process of mutual understanding, where your dog can make better choices and learn to thrive in your home.

My approach is rooted in engagement—ensuring a strong, positive bond between you and your dog. Through years of experience in diverse and high-pressure environments, I’ve developed a deep understanding of dog behaviour and know how to tailor the right training method for each individual dog and their unique needs.

Basic Training
ONE ON ONE SESSIONS
My One-on-One Basic Training sessions are designed to build a strong foundation of good manners and clear communication between you and your dog. We’ll work together to teach your dog to listen, engage and respond positively to your cues, creating a harmonious bond that sets the stage for more advanced training.
Through consistent and effective training methods, we’ll focus on essential skills like leash walking, shaping a reliable recall and improving obedience in everyday situations. Each session is tailored to your dog’s needs, ensuring they progress at a comfortable pace while you gain the confidence and tools needed to maintain consistent training.
$150 + GST Initial SESSION
Notes: Follow-Up Sessions $130 + GST.

Behaviour Modification
PLUS: COUNTER CONDITIONING & REACTIVITY
ONE ON ONE SESSIONS
My Behaviour Modification sessions focus on helping your dog overcome reactive behaviours and make better decisions in challenging situations. Whether it’s fear, frustration or over-excitement we’ll work together to reshape undesirable responses through counter conditioning techniques. This process gradually replaces negative behaviours with more positive, manageable reactions.
During the first session, I’ll assess your dog’s specific needs and give you a clear understanding of the approach, timeline, and realistic goals for progress. Each session is tailored to your dog’s unique behaviour, ensuring we move at a pace that’s both effective and comfortable.
$180 + GST Initial SESSION
Notes: Follow-Up Sessions $150 + GST.

Preparation for new dog
PLUS: REHOMED DOG & RESCUE DOG
ONE ON ONE TRAINING
Preparing for a new puppy, rehomed dog or rescue dog is a big step, and my One-on-One Training sessions are designed to set you up for success from day one. This in-depth consultation will guide you through the process of selecting the right dog for your lifestyle and how to best prepare your home and routines to support your new companion.
I’ll cover everything from understanding breed traits and behaviour needs to creating a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring you’re fully equipped for a smooth transition when your new dog arrives. This session is perfect for anyone looking to make the best decisions before bringing a dog into their life.
$120 + GST Consultation session
Notes: Start your dog’s journey off right with expert guidance on making the most of your future relationship. Let’s lay a solid foundation for a happy, well-adjusted pup or dog!
Focus & Engagement - Group Classes
One group class is designed for non-reactive dogs and the other for reactive dogs. I offer a controlled environment where both owners and dogs work together toward the goal of better communication and positive decision-making. These sessions help your dog learn to listen and focus around other dogs and owners who share the same goal of building strong, respectful behaviour.
$50 + GST
Eligibility: Classes put together with dogs and owners who have done a One-on-One Session.
Notes: Join me to enhance your dog’s focus, engagement and overall behaviour in a supportive group setting.
Puppy Training
ONE ON ONE SESSIONS
My One-on-One Puppy Training sessions are designed to give you and your puppy a solid foundation for building a strong and effective communication bond. In these personalised, hands-on sessions, we’ll work together to establish the core skills and positive behaviours that will set your puppy up for success in the outside world.
This training is for puppies aged 8-20 weeks, focusing on essential socialisation, basic commands and teaching your puppy how to understand and respond to your cues. The session allows for a tailored approach to meet your specific needs and challenges, creating a positive, consistent training experience.
$130 + GST Initial session
Notes: Follow-Up Sessions $110 + GST.

Puppy Training:
Trainer Alone Training
My Trainer Alone Training sessions offer your puppy the opportunity to explore new and exciting environments under the guidance of a professional trainer. This is an ideal option for pups who need socialisation and exposure to different settings while building the foundation of clear communication with their owner.
During these sessions, I will lead your puppy through various experiences ensuring they learn to navigate the world confidently and calmly. At the same time I’ll be conditioning a shared language that will allow you to continue the progress once the session is complete. It’s a great way to give your puppy a head start in their training journey.
$130 + GST PER SESSION
